First character design
We started off making the character based on the Maitre Andre logo. But this felt too playfull and didn't really fit the brand.
Storyboard
This is a drawing from the storyboard we made for the film.
Animation viewport
This dull and grey viewport is what the animators see when working on a shot. The upside is that they can totally focus on the animation.
When the chef 's away, the little toques will play.
Maitre Andre makes high quality fresh puff pastry for professional use. In this film the kitchen magically comes to life once the chef leaves. But instead of fairytale characters we used small chef’s hats. They make the fresh puff pastry at night so the chef can just focus on creating his best dishes.Sound design: Roundhouse
